Edward Kardell

Edward Kardell, 82, passed away peacefully at his home in Westwood on Tuesday, October 2, 2018. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Goodman). Devoted father of Jeffrey and his wife Jeanne-Marie; Craig and his wife Kristen; Stacey Konidaris and her husband George. Loving grandfather of Caeley, Parker, Emma, Tyler, Jake, Riley and Abigail. Born in Jersey City, he lived there before moving to Westwood in 1966. Edward was the owner of S.O.S. Transportation trucking company in Jersey City. After retirement, he continued to work preparing taxes and driving the school bus for special needs children. Edward enjoyed fishing and playing golf. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Westwood Police Auxiliary. The family will receive their friends on Sunday, from 2-6 pm at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood. A Funeral Mass celebrating Edward’s life and faith will be held on Monday at 10:30am at R.C. Church of the Assumption, Emerson. Entombment to follow at Garden of Memories, Washington Twp.
