

Edward C. Spitaletta, 66, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 21, 2022. He is survived by his beloved wife Nancy and their son Edward Domenick III and his partner Danielle, his siblings Debra (Al), Richard (Mary Ann), Robert (Linda), John (Rachel) and Charles (Traci), his brother in laws Billy and Dennis, plus 14 nieces and nephews: Kristen (Devin), Edward, Lauren, Max, Michael, Richard, Nicholas, Christopher, Robert, Trevor, Gianna, Luke, Jake and Mia, his Aunt Teresa, Uncle Michael, and cousins Linda (d 1990), Lesley, JoAnn, and Richard.
Edward (Eddie) was born on January 6, 1956, in Jersey City, NJ to Edward D. and Mary Spitaletta. He was a long-time resident of Rutherford and Hackensack, NJ, and Palm Beach, Florida. His death was recently preceded by the passing of his loving parents Edward D. and Mary Spitaletta.
Eddie was a graduate of Don Bosco Preparatory High School and William Paterson University. During college, Eddie started working with his father at Enterprise Marketing as a part time merchandiser then as a full-time account representative. In the years to follow, Eddie then became a self-made businessman and entrepreneur in the Housewares and Retail Merchandising industries. In 1985, Eddie married the love of his life, Nancy and were married for 36 years. In 1991, his life became brighter with the birth of his son, Edward Domenick III.
Eddie was a talented musician who started a jazz quartet during college, and they played together for many years afterwards. Eddie was a great Husband, Father, Brother, Cousin, Uncle, Friend and Coach. His passions were his family, his business as well as music, baseball, dining out, collecting sports memorabilia, and vacationing in Florida.
Due to inclement weather, the Funeral Mass for Edward C. Spitaletta and his mother Mary will be rescheduled and will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022, at 10:00 am at Saint Gabriel’s Church in Saddle River, followed by their inurnment at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah at 12:00. Due to the current Covid pandemic, there will be a requirement that all attendees at the events must wear an N95 or KN95 mask, which will be provided if needed. A celebration of their lives will be announced at a later date. In lieu of sending flowers, you can donate in his memory to his favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Hospital (stjude.org).
