Elizabeth Ann Anastasio

Anastasio, Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Moul) 93. Daughter of Blanche and Horace peacefully passed away on October 21, 2021 at The Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, NJ. Born in Hanover, PA formerly of Paramus and River Vale, NJ. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Anastasio (2001), enjoying 48 years of marriage. Loving mother of Andrew Anastasio and his wife Debra of Toms River, NJ, Peter Anastasio and his wife Lisa of Montvale, NJ, and Susan Zuccaro and her husband Joseph of Park Ridge, NJ. Treasured grandmother of P.J. and David Anastasio, Matthew and Jennifer Zuccaro, and Melissa Anastasio. Betty graduated from Eichelberger Senior High School and attended Florida Southern College. She enjoyed many hobbies some of which included knitting, crocheting, playing cards, and Mahjong with friends. Betty volunteered her time by making crafts and donating them to local hospitals for fundraising. Before retiring she was employed for numerous years at Gimbels in Paramus, NJ. She cherished the memories of enjoying and anticipating summer family vacations in Ocean City, NJ. Betty mostly enjoyed spending her time with her children and grandchildren; to her, family was everything. Surviving relatives are her dear sister Janet Perkins and her husband Robert, her sister-in-laws Norma Stacy and Brigid Anastasio, brother-in-law Richard Anastasio and his wife Patricia, and also many loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Betty's memory can be made to Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) or Macular Degeneration Association (macularhope.org). Visitation will be held Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675. Graveside service will be at 11:30 am on Monday, October 25, 2021 at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07652.
