Dear Katie, Mike and Family, 
We are truly blessed to have had Elizabeth(peanut)in our lives. The joy and laughter she gave to us is irreplaceable. Her strength, courage and determination during her illness was greatly admired. Elizabeth loved life and never gave up because she had an amazing family to help support and encourage her. We are incredibly saddened by her passing and she will live on forever in our hearts. I had the pleasure of a bunch of Elizabeth's hugs (how generous she was with them!), and the chance to hear her lovely sing song voice answer questions with both the joy and humor of a child and the amazing simplicity and wisdom of all she had gained in her travels.  Katie,Mike and Anthony, how lucky each of us are to have met this little pixie of yours.   I am grateful for the chance to have known her just a little bit.    Thank you for sharing her with us.    You are surrounded with people who cannot imagine your loss but would like to help in any way they can.  Please add Mark and I to that list.

Elizabeth was one of the most precious children I have ever met. At her young age, she had many qualities that some adults are never fortunate to have. She was genuine, strong, loving, determined, courageous, and proudly displayed an infectious smile each and every day. Her ability to captivate someone in conversation was remarkable. I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know your beautiful daughter, Elizabeth, when she was a student at Berkeley School a couple of years ago when I was working in the cafeteria as the "lunch lady."  Every Friday when she came through those doors to buy her lunch (pizza), she always came in with such joyful enthusiasm and always had a big hug for me.  It made my day!  I'm am so very sorry for the loss of this precious little girl, who had such a positive impact on so many of us that had the privilege of knowing her. Today the friends were sad, missing you
(the Captain even cried a little) Scott says we shouldn't be sad because we will see you again soon, Stefano says that great friends like you go to heaven, Ryan says he misses you "terry-blee", and Eddie says Hi! For the Band-Aid report: all of our hearts are broken but other than that, no boo-boos or injuries. Lunch today was the ever popular All American hot dog- In your honor I ate pizza! None of the friends got into trouble but we all had a good laugh thinking of you being the "peace enforcer" and "keeping the gang in line". Grandma Tini and Mrs D spoke of you and the great times we had at Brookside School. I miss you terribly, you are in my heart- Captain's Log closing out- until next time- Ms Zygiel
