Ernest Mazzei

MAZZEI, Ernest, 81, of Twp. of Washington, NJ, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2013. He was born in Jersey City, NJ to Louis Sr. and Rose Mazzei. Before retiring he was an electrician with I.B.E.W., Local #164, Paramus, NJ . He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church, Twp. of Washington, NJ where he was a member of the choir for 25 years. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Mother Seton Council, Twp. of Washington, NJ and the Golden Seniors of Twp. of Washington, NJ. Beloved husband of Mary Mazzei (nee Leuci). Devoted father of Louis Mazzei and his wife Rosemarie, Rosemarie Jasko and her husband Mark, and Marianne Grocela and her husband Ray. Dear brother of Louis Mazzei, Jr. and his wife Kathleen and the late Virginia Melando. Loving grandfather of Michael, Carolynn and Lauren Mazzei, Stephen, Thomas and Elizabeth Jasko, Allison and Ellen Grocela. He is also survived by many cherished family members and friends. Ernie was an extraordinary man with many talents and will always be remembered for his booming bass voice and his warm generous heart. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Thursday, 2-4 and 6-9PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church, Twp. of Washington, NJ at 10AM. Entombment will follow at Garden of Memories, Twp. of Washington, NJ.
