Evelyn "Nancy" Leale (nee Rose) 88, of Fort Lee, passed away in her home surrounded by family on May 25, 2020. She was born on Nov. 7, 1931 in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan to William Rose and Katherine Shanks. Evelyn worked in the Violations Bureau of the Borough of Fort Lee before retiring in 2000. She enjoyed watching Jeopardy, Judge Judy and Wheel of Fortune. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul F. Leale Sr., six sisters, Pat, Susie, Dorothy, Gail, Lynn, Betty Lou and eight brothers, James, Bill, Robert, Roy, Donald, Edward, Wallace & Johnny.
Evelyn is survived by her loving daughter, Nancy Ripoli and her husband, Thomas, an adored son, Paul F. Leale Jr. and his wife, Kathy, five grandchildren, Anthony T. Ripoli, and his wife, Tammi, Thomas R. and Dana C. Ripoli, Kristina A. and Paul D. Leale. She had three great grandchildren Ariana, Rocco and Lily who brought her so much joy. She is also survived by two sisters, June Kerr and Marylyn Dundon, a brother Allen Rose and many loving nieces and nephews.
As a result of the pandemic, a private service will be held at Becker Funeral Home in Westwood, NJ with burial at Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee, NJ
