PETERS, Frances, (nee Solazzo) 91, of Emerson, NJ on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Beloved wife of the late George Peters. Devoted mother of Tonia Romano and the late Michael Peters. Loving grandmother of Joseph and Anthony. Cherished great grandmother of Evan, Anna and Jennifer. Dear sister of Lucia Loding and Daniel Solazzo and the late Maria Melenack. Frances was born and raised in Jersey City before moving to Emerson 60 years ago. She had worked as the manager of the Electronics department of Bloomingdale’s, Hackensack, NJ for 30 years retiring in 1989. She was past President of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI). A Memorial visitation will be held at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Friday, from 1-4PM with a service beginning at 2:00 pm.
