

Frank Cavallo Jr., 88, of Westwood, NJ, beloved son, brother, uncle, friend, educator, traveler, and lifelong lover of music and the arts, is remembered with deep affection by his family, friends, former colleagues, and the many students whose lives he touched.
Frank Cavallo Jr. was the cherished son of the late Frank and R. Adeline Cavallo. He was the brother of the late Michael Cavallo and is survived by his brother Rocco, Rocco’s wife Judy, and his sister-in-law Josephine Cavallo, Michael’s wife.
Frank was a devoted uncle to Tracy Salerno (Peter), Kimberly Cavallo-Campigotto (Walter), the late Caren Cavallo-Pastena, and Jeff Cavallo. He was the loving great-uncle of Anthony Salerno (Evie), Gabrielle Mayer (Brian), Matthew Campigotto (Lareina), and Michael Campigotto. He was also the great-great-uncle of Jesse Salerno, Brielle Mayer, Aria Salerno, and Lilianna Mayer.
For 41 years, Frank dedicated himself to teaching at East Brook Middle School, where the former educator of the year shared his knowledge, patience, and commitment with generations of students. His long career in education reflected his belief in the importance of learning and the lasting impact a teacher can have on young lives.
Frank had a true zest for life. He loved to travel and visited Europe many times, embracing the opportunity to experience different places, cultures, and traditions. He also enjoyed skiing, fine dining, and bringing enthusiasm and curiosity to the activities and experiences he loved.
Frank had a deep appreciation for art and music, finding joy in creativity, beauty, and expression. He especially enjoyed playing the piano and took great pleasure in enriching the lives of others by introducing them to the arts and sharing his love of music and culture.
Frank was also an avid sports fan who proudly followed the local New York teams, especially the Yankees and Giants.
Frank will be remembered for his dedication to education, his love of travel, art, and music, and the joy he brought to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, former students, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be held at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675, US, on July 10, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 120 Washington Ave, Westwood, NJ 07675, US, on July 11, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:20 am.
A Committal Service will be held at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652, US, on July 11, 2026, from 11:45 am to 12:15 pm.
