

REKOSIK, Frank S., 91, of Westwood, NJ, formerly of Pearl River, NY, passed away Tuesday, June 27th, 2023. Frank was born on January 11th, 1932 in Leonia, NJ. He was the only child of Frank and Olga Rekosik. He grew up in Leonia and went to Maine each summer for family vacation. He graduated as a civil engineer from Purdue University after serving 2 years in the Army. During this time he married his childhood sweetheart, Faye Robertson. They settled in Montvale, NJ and had 4 children. Frank and his second wife, Patricia Keefer, settled in his later years in Pearl River, NY for over 20 years.
Frank spent the majority of his career as a civil engineer at Keane Construction, and worked on large building projects including the original Giants Stadium. He liked building things and always had a project he was working on. He liked being outside and spending his time gardening. He was a lifelong Purdue Boilermakers fan. His favorite pastime was going out to eat with family and friends. Frank will be remembered smiling and trying to make others laugh along with him.
Frank is survived by his children Kathleen Foley and her husband Paul, Jeannette Sheldon, Frank and Timothy and his wife Audra; his step-son Tom Keefer and his wife Elaine; his grandchildren Anthony, Nick, Jessica, Tyler and John; his step-grandchildren Jay, Brian, Scott and Jill as well as his great-grandchildren Weston and Austin. He is predeceased by his parents Frank P. and Olga, wife Patricia and step-son James Keefer.
The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ on Thursday, June 29th from 10AM-12PM. A Celebration of Frank's life and faith will be held at 12PM with interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa, NJ to follow.
