Frank J. Somsky, 82, of River Vale, NJ, on Tuesday, June 16, 2009. Born in Czechoslovakia to his parents, the late Frank and Pauline Somsky. Frank was a Captain with the FDNY, retiring with honors in 1982. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Park Ridge, NJ. and a member of the Senior Wise Owls, YJA, Twp. of Washington, NJ. Beloved husband of the late Carmen Somsky (nee Calderon). Devoted father of Frank A. Somsky and his wife Sarah, and Diane Somsky. Loving grandfather of Cortney. Dear brother of the late Steve Somsky. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church, Park Ridge, NJ on Friday, June 19 at 10 AM. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook, NJ. The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Thursday, June 18, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
