I was hired as the mechanic of Imperatore Courier Systems of Little Ferry, N.J. on April 7,1992 by George Imperatore Jr.. I was very much in need of a job at the time. When I first entered the mechanics' shop, I was horrified of the complete disarray of the work area. I told George Jr. that I didn't think I wanted to stay. He said with a smile, (his trademark), " Alright, come in  every Monday an hour earlier on overtime and we'll clean up this shop together".
Today is Sept. 20, 2021, & I have just learned of his passing & am crying in pain of my loss of a brother from a different mother. George, Thank You for the love you have shown me & others. I love you brother.

today i have learned of george passing and am so sadded about it to me george was a nice and a greeat person i happen to have worked for him for 16 years at his place of business i will miss him 


To the family of George:

I doubt any of you know me and I’m sorry that I’ve never met you personally.  Regrettably, I have never met George personally.  George hired me as a leased on driver for his company in 2014. He and I talked frequently on the phone,however. It was as if we were life long friends but never met face to face.  That is what deeply saddens me the most. The first time I ever saw a picture of George was on the beautiful posted memorial video.  What a wonderful tribute to your family and him. It’s obvious he was loved by all. George gave me a chance when I needed it most.  I had lost my lease with a previous company and my broker  suggested I talk to George.  A friend of a friend. That’s testimony of how deep his connections with people ran. I have 4 boys. If it were not for George giving me a chance to get my trucking business started I don’t know what I would have done at that time. He was one of the most honest and caring people I ever worked for but yet I never “met” him. That’s the way I will remember George. Thank you for sharing him with me.  He was family to me as well because that’s the way he made me feel and it was genuine. I’m extremely sorry for your loss. He talked so fondly of y'all that I feel like I know you as well but yet have never met any of you either. God Bless y’all and God rest the soul of his faithful servant.

George was a good friend with the uncanny ability to "out" the absurdities in life.  Then laugh about them.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I wish all the family will be well in this time and not grieve for too long.

I am so very sorry to hear of George's passing.  I was shocked.

George, my forever buddy. Thanks for taking charge of the Teaneck High School 1968 reunions causing me to rekindle many friendships, including yours. Always with a smile; always with a tinge of humor; that is what I and others will remember.

Nancy and I are so sad to hear of George’s passing.  He adored his beloved wife and girl’s! I will miss our conversations that spanned from family to world / current events. I enjoyed his balanced perspective.  What will The Record do without his occasional letter to the editor?  George will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and friend. 

I went to our high school prom with George and our dates.  I traveled around the USA with him and another friend in his red truck during the summer of '69. We went to Yellowstone, saw the Pacific Ocean, visited SFO, LA, New Orleans, all for the first time and so much more. He helped open my eyes to the larger world outside of NJ and NYC. He helped me become a better man. My sympathies to his family. RIP

What an honor it was to call George a friend. I am still shocked and saddened about losing him so suddenly but I take comfort in knowing I'll see him in Heaven some day. Praying for his family, he was a blessing to all who knew him. 

I have known George since elementary school and am saddened to hear of his death.  The class of 6T8 has lost a dear friend who was instrumental in keeping our group together.  He will be missed by many of us.  My sincere condolences to his family and wishing you great strength at this time.

I new George many years and also worked with him at APA.  He was  one of the easiest persons to talk to or be friends with.  Toni and I both were friends with George on facebook and he always claimed he was the one who brought Toni and I together.  I will miss him terribly and will continually pray for his family.
