George Kalechitz, 97, of Emerson, New Jersey passed away on October 30, 2023 of natural causes. The son of Theodore and Jennie Kalechitz. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on February 11, 1926. George joined the US Navy and fought in the Pacific Theater of WWII.
George married the love of his life Anna in 1952. He was survived by his two daughters, Georgiana Piete and her husband David Piete and Cathy Geronimo and her husband Joseph Geronimo. As well as a host of grandchildren Jennifer Carney and her husband Brendan Carney,
Lindsay Piete and her husband Garret D’Agostino, Angela Geronimo, David Piete and his wife Clare Piete and Joseph Geronimo.
A service honoring the life of George Kalechitz will be held Tuesday November 14, 2023 from 4 -7 with a Religious Service at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ. On Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 11:00 am a Graveside Service will be held at Vladimir’s Cemetery, 316 Cassville Road, Jackson, NJ.
