

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Catherine (Kay), who passed away in 2007. Their love and partnership were a cornerstone of his life. He was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Kimberly, who passed away in 2014.
A dedicated family man, George took immense pride in his children, their spouses, and his grandchildren. He is survived by his four children: daughters Joanne Small, Mary Gallagher, and Barbara Iuso, and son Stephen Parowski. He was a loving father-in-law to Tim, John, Ken, and Supriya. George was also a treasured grandfather to Matthew, Colin, Jessica, Michael, TJ, William, George, Kenny, Katherine, Izzy, John O.and Alec, Rob, and Kyle. He was also blessed with a great-grandson, Maeson.
In his later years, George was fortunate to be cared for by the wonderful Joan, who brought him comfort and care.
A man of strong convictions, George was an active member of his community. He was a proud parishioner of St. Gabriel Parish in Saddle River, NJ, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5427, and a passionate supporter of the Right to Life organization. His commitment to his faith and his principles was steadfast.
George will be remembered for his kindness, his unwavering love for his family, and his dedication to his beliefs. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A visitation for George will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Gabriel the Archangel's Roman Catholic Church, 88 E Saddle River Rd, Saddle River, NJ 07458. A funeral will occur Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Ascension Cemetery, 650 Saddle River Rd, Airmont, NY 10952.
