Mr. Gerard A. van Koolbergen

Before retiring 7 years ago, he was a guidance counselor at Fair Lawn High School for 38 years.

He was predeceased by his beloved parents, the late James van Koolbergen in 1997 and Elsie van Koolbergen (nee Mihavetz) in 2002, and his beloved sister Edith Castellano in 1999.

He is survived by his loving wife, Frances van Koolbergen, his loving children Jerry van Koolbergen and his husband Phillip Johnson, Martin van Koolbergen and his partner Sanford Steinberg, and Francine McAloon and her husband Daniel McAloon, his loving brother Br. James van Koolbergen, CFC, and 3 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting on Monday, September 24th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Becker Funeral Home in Westwood, NJ. A funeral mass will be offered on Tuesday September 25th at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, Pascack Road, Park Ridge. Entombment will take place at the Garden of Memories, Pascack Road, Washington Township.
