McIlveen, Gertrude M., 91 of River Vale, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ to John and Gertrude Gilliland. Devoted wife of the late George S. McIlveen. Beloved mother of Stephen McIlveen and his wife Arlene, and Greg McIlveen and his wife Patricia. Cherished grandmother of Brett Stephen McIlveen, Jeffrey Stephen McIlveen and his wife Carleen, Melissa McIlveen, and Rebecca Dawn Axtell and her husband Matthew. Loving great grandmother of Madeline Grace and Harper Rebecca Axtell. Dear sister of Irene Nashold. Also special to Megan and Mackenzie Rafferty and many nieces and nephews. Gertrude was a dedicated member of the River Vale Community Church where she served as the secretary, and also a member of the Women’s Missionary Society. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at the River Vale Community Church, River Vale, NJ, on Monday at 10 AM. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
