Giuseppina Forcellati

Giuseppina Forcellati (nee Schiavone), age 95, of Park Ridge, NJ, formerly of Old Tappan and Fort Lee, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. She was born in Montefalcione, Avellino, Italy and came to the US in 1966.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Raffaele, son Ferdinando, parents Francesco and Maria Schiavone, sister Angela Sarno and brother Gennaro Schiavone.

Devoted mother of Caterina Persico and her husband, Anthony. Loving and adored “Nonna” to her grandchildren Anthony Jr., Sarah and Mariel. Cherished “Zia Pina” to her nieces Elena and Rosanna Sarno. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Over the years, Giuseppina built lifelong friendships, many of whom became family for us. Her door was always open and she enjoyed welcoming friends and family to share a conversation over a cup of Italian espresso.

Giuseppina’s family will receive friends and relatives at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 2 Fremont Avenue, Park Ridge, NJ on Friday, March 20th at 10:00 AM, followed by a mass celebrating her long and faith filled life at 11:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Madonna Mausoleum, Fort Lee, NJ.
