Grace Mae Behringer

Grace Behringer (nee Prucha), 97, of Hillsdale, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

Grace is predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, George Behringer. Devoted mother of Bruce Behringer (Jane - deceased) and Susan Thompson (Thomas - deceased). Cherished grandmother of Keith Behringer (Shannon), Dana Kelliher (Chris), Jamie Fuentes (Rob), Michael Thompson (Cherrie), and Christopher Thompson. Grace was predeceased by her granddaughter Lori Thompson.

Grace had many great grandchildren and was affectionately known as GG. Aiden Kelliher, Connor Kelliher, Robbie Fuentes, Riley Fuentes, Mallory Fuentes, Madison Behringer, Cassidy Behringer and Brooke Behringer.

Grace was born in NY, NY. After graduation from high school, she worked as a secretary in the patent law office of Sylvania Electric Products. She married George in 1949 and they moved to Queens NY. In 1960 they moved to Hillsdale, NJ where she lived until her death. They have both been very active since that time in Holy Trinity Church and have many cherished friends within the church. Grace was also active in the Hillsdale Republican Club and the Hillsdale Garden Club, where she served as president for a number of years.

In 1973 George and Grace created their own advertising company, Behringer Associates, which they ran until they retired.

Visitation will be held at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675, on June 30, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 326 Hillsdale Ave, Hillsdale, NJ 07642, on July 1, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A Committal Service will be held at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652, on July 1, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 12:45 pm.
