Stardate: Classified
“He boldly went where no González has gone before.”
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the departure of Hector González, beloved husband, father, grandfather, devoted family man, science-fiction enthusiast, and one of the kindest souls ever to inhabit this galaxy.
Hector did not die. He was simply reassigned to Starfleet Command.
A gentle, generous man who would give you the shirt off his back, Hector needed little to be happy: his family, his dogs, and a good science-fiction movie.
A lifelong fan of Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, and Battlefield Earth, Hector is now presumably battling Klingons, negotiating with Darth Vader, and explaining to the Borg why they have been doing everything wrong.
His first stop, however, was surely a joyful reunion with every dog he ever loved, all waiting with wagging tails to welcome him home.
After a long and difficult final mission, Hector has finally been relieved of duty. No more suffering, just peace, love, and an entire universe to explore.
His kindness was his superpower, and his love will remain with us forever.
Rest in peace, Hector. Live long and prosper. May the Force be with you. And may God have mercy on the Klingons.
His final words were beam me up Scotty
