

KLEMPAU, Herbert H., 88, of Hillsdale, died September 13, 2016 at his home. Born in Westwood, NJ and has lived in Hillsdale for 64 years. Mr. Klempau retired as a field service representative for Beckman Instruments, Somerset, NJ. Herbert was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather who provided well for his family. He served in the US Army during WWII and was awarded the Bronze Star for ground combat against the armed enemy in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Herbert was a lifetime member of the Hillsdale Ambulance Corps., a member of the American Legion, Park Ridge and the VFW, Woodcliff Lake. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Mildred Klempau and his wife Dorothy Rose (nee Whitney). He is survived by his beloved daughters Debra Reimers, Susan Greenleaf and Donna Weydig. His loving grandchildren Buddy Reimers, Debbie Kurtisi, Wes Weydig, Karen Greenleaf and Kevin Weydig. His cherished great grandsons Emilian and Constantine Kurtisi. Visitation at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, on Friday 4-8 pm. A service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 am, followed by an interment in Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah.
