Hilda S. Belmonte

Mrs. Hilda Seminiano Belmonte, daughter of the late Alejandre Seminiano and Nemesia Nepomuceno was born August 8, 1931 in Donsol, Sorsogon, Philippines. She attended Donsol High School and completed her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at the Philippine Normal College in Manila, Philippines. After graduation she taught at the Donsol Elementary School until her retirement at the age of 62.

She was united in holy matrimony to Emeterio Belmonte Sr. in March of 1952. This union was blessed with four children. Mr. Belmonte preceded her in death om June 17, 2009.

While Mrs. Belmonte was a teacher by occupation, she loved being a housewife even more. She kept her home spotlessly clean and loved to cook not only for her family but also for the many visitors, mostly the family of her siblings, when they came to visit for the summer. Flower and vegetable gardening were also her favorite pastime. In 2000, Mr. and Mrs. Belmonte migrated to New Jersey, USA where she passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at the New Bridge Medical Center.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Zaida Montesclaros of Northvale, NJ, Hervey Belmonte of Hillsdale, NJ, Blessilda Ferrer of Palisades Park, NJ and Emeterio Belmonte Jr. of Legazpi City in the Philippines; sons-in-law Edwin Montesclaros of Northvale, NJ and Louie Ferrer of Palisades Park, NJ; daughter-in-law Maria Christine Belmonte of Hillsdale, NJ; grandchildren Natasha Montesclaros married to Glenn Canlas of Palisades, NY, Nikolai Montesclaros married to Monica Padilla of Dumont, NJ, Raphael Emerson Belmonte of Oregon, Krizia Mendiola of Palisades Park, NJ, Anya Belmonte of Donsol, Sorsogon, Philippines, Hans Belmonte, Joshua Belmonte and Bianca Belmonte of Hillsdale, NJ and Memet Belmonte of Legazpi City in the Philippines; great grandchildren Sophie Belmonte of Donsol, Sorsogon in the Philippines, Carmela Joy, Charlize Hope and Cierra Grace Canlas of Palisades, NY and Mason Riley Montesclaros of Dumont, NJ ; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
