

Jim is survived by Mary Spillane, and his children: Anne, Mary, James, Richard, Michael, Katie, Martha, Kelley, Bridgid, Siobhan, and Ellen. His daughter, Deborah, precedes him in death. 29 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren also survive Jim.
Jim was born on December 24, 1924 in Brighton, MA to Catherine and James Spillane. He graduated from North Quincy High School in 1941 and received his BS degree from Boston College in 1948 after having served in the Navy during WWII. That same year, on June 13, he married Mary Kelley. Jim and family moved to Harrington Park, NJ from Quincy, MA in 1961 after a promotion with the Seagrams Distillers Company where he worked in senior management positions.
Jim and Mary welcomed 12 children into their home and set about involving the family in the Catholic community at Our Lady of Victories in Harrington Park. Jim and his family enjoyed annual visits to Cape Cod, participation in year round sporting events, and many block parties with Harrington Park neighbors.
After 38 years, Jim retired from Seagrams in 1986 as Vice President of Promotions. After retirement, Jim was a volunteer with the Harrington Park ambulance corps and Hospice Care of Virginia.
A Mass of Christian burial will be said on Saturday, July 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Victories Church in Harrington Park. Visitation will be at the Church at 10:00 a.m.
