

Joan Ann (Mulrenin) Casey, age 91, of Westwood, NJ departed this earthly life on Saturday, August 31, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She is predeceased by her parents Thomas Mulrenin and Irene (Timoney) Mulrenin, in-laws Edward Casey and Mary (Barden) Casey, brother Thomas Mulrenin and his wife Eileen, sister Lorraine Tobin, brother-in-laws Jack Campbell and Leon Harty, nephews Dennis Campbell, Thomas Campbell, Michael Mulrenin, niece Lisa (Harty) Murray and great nephew Campbell Harty.
Joan is the beloved wife of 65 years to Edmund Joseph Casey. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her daughter Patricia Byrne, her husband Kevin, and their daughters Jessica Raven-Hansen, her husband Erik, Kimberly Lawyer and her husband Drew and their daughters Riley and Peyton; her son Edward and his son Ryan, his wife Elizabeth and their daughter Hailey, his daughter Cayla Kerny her husband Peter, his son Tyler, his daughter Shannon and his step daughter Jacquelyn Thompson and her husband John and his stepdaughter Brianne; her son Gerard, his wife Isabel and their son Gerard; her son John, his wife Rebecca and their daughter Samantha. Joan is also survived by her twin sister Mary Luzzio and her husband Joseph and their children, her half sister Terri Murrell and her husband Steve and their children, her half sister Bernadette Cole and her husband Jody, her sister-in-law Maureen Harty and her children and her sister-in-law Ann Campbell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Joan was born in Manhattan. Moved to Dumont, NJ and then to Westwood, NJ in 1963 where she raised her family with her husband Edmund. She worked as a sales admin supporting the Sales team at Lehn & Fink where she met some of her life long friends. She was a member of the Westwood Columbiettes. Joan was an angel here on earth who had such a warm heart and was loved by everyone. She had the sweetest personality and never had a mean word to say about anyone. She made everyone she met feel special. She will be missed by all that had the privilege to know her, especially her family.

A visitation for Joan will be held Friday, September 6, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 120 Washington Ave, Westwood, NJ 07675. A committal will occur Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Brookside Cemetery, 425 Engle Street, Englewood, NJ 07631.
