

John Davino, age 93 of Teaneck, New Jersey passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, March 18, 2016.Lovingly referred to as “Popi”, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by wife, Gloria Rinaldi Davino, daughter, Deborah Dalle Molle (Arthur), son, John Davino Jr. (Paula Barila Davino), and grandchildren, Dana Neill (Brian), Stephanie Dalle Molle, Alison McElrath (Justin), Julianna Davino, and great-grandchildren, Christian and Cameron Neill. John adored his family and was known for his big smile, love of the Yankees, impressive bowling average, and for always being first to the dinner table (especially when Italian food was being served). In his younger years, John enjoyed playing golf, chess, solitaire, and taking Caribbean cruises with his wife and friends. He worked on computers during their infancy in the 1950s (one of his claims to fame), and was a veteran of the Army and former member of the Elks and San Paolino society. He spent every Sunday with his grandchildren and was always ready to help with math homework or cheer them on in one of their sports games or recitals. John will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Family and friends will gather at Becker Funeral, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Monday, March 21 from 4-8PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church on Tuesday, March 22 at 10AM. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ.
