John Nicholas Valvanis passed on Friday, May 2, 2025. He was the husband of Karen Monti Valvanis for 48 years, the father of Nicholas Valvanis (Lauren) and Kristin Fredericksen (Eric), and the grandfather of Charlotte & Alexander Valvanis and Naya, Micah & Ruby Fredericksen. He was predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Irene Valvanis. John was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on December 12, 1943, grew up in River Edge, NJ, and lived in River Vale, NJ for nearly 50 years. He was a graduate of Lafayette College, a chemical engineer, an avid Boston Red Sox and New York Giants fan, and a Porsche enthusiast. The family will gather for a private service and burial on Monday, May 5, 2025.
