John James Ward

WARD, John J., 84 of Paramus, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 6th, 2019. John was the fourth of five sons, born to Mae and Jim Ward of Jersey City. John is survived by his beloved wife Adelaide, his daughters Kelly and Nancy (Bauer), his son-in-law Michael, and the apple of his eye, his granddaughter Michaela. He is predeceased by his brothers James, Robert, Frank, and Kevin and he is survived by his three sisters-in-law, Jean Ward, Ethel Ward, Rosemarie Locorotondo, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

After serving his country during the Korean War with the Army of the United States, John acquired his Bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He worked for 40 years at the Colgate-Palmolive Company, retiring as a Sales and Marketing Manager.

The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road., Westwood, NJ on Wednesday, October 9th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. A Mass celebrating John’s life and faith will be held at Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church in Paramus, NJ on Thursday, October 10th at 10:00 a.m. with interment at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ to follow.
