DANCU, Jon, 66, briefly of River Vale, NJ, and formerly of New York, NY, passed away on Sunday, April 7th, 2024. Jon is survived by his wife Marija Dancu; his sons John Dancu and Joseph Ortiz-Dancu and their wives Sopha and Kristina; and his step-grandson Anthony.
Jon was a hard working Superintendent of over 40 years who was passionate about helping those around him. He had a love for dogs and animals; food (especially his wife’s cooking); and entertainment and comedy. Jon truly enjoyed the simpler things in life.
The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ on Wednesday, April 10th from 1130AM-1230PM with a Celebration Of Life service to commence at 1230PM and interment to follow at Westwood Cemetery in Westwood, NJ.
