Josephine Dadamo was born in the Bronx, NY on January 3, 1932. She lost her long battle with Alzheimer's disease and passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 7, 2019 in her recent home The Cliffs at Eagle Rock in West Orange, NJ.
Josephine was the beloved wife of the late Richard Dadamo; she lived for many years in Washington Township, where she raised her family: She was the loving mother of Nancyann Downey (Bill), Richard D’Adamo and Perry Dadamo. She was the cherished grandmother of William, Joseph (Angelica) and Andrew Downey, Thomas (Marta), Daniel, and Hannah D’Adamo, and Amy and Zachary Dadamo.
Family was the center of Josephine’s life, starting with her ten Palumbo brothers and sisters during her time growing up in the Bronx. This extended to her children and grandchildren.
She was well known as a selfless individual, always putting others first. She faced adversity a few times in her life. She faced that adversity with strength and a smile; Josephine was known by all for her beautiful smile and positive attitude.
She will be missed by her family and all who have been fortunate to know and love her.
