Josephine DePasquale, "A loving heart and warm smile", was considered a mom to so many people. She possessed a very nurturing and loving quality with the most loving heart and warm smile. Wednesday, July 18, 2018 Josephine died at home. She was 89 years old. One of three daughters. Josephine was born November 4, 1928 in New York City. Josephine managed a children's program for the YMCA and was one of the first female black belts in the country. Josephine worked tirelessly with her husband to change people’s lives using Martial Arts to teach discipline, control, self-esteem, focus and values. Josephine is survived by her two sons Anthony De Pasquale and Michael DePasquale Jr. The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Sunday, July 22, from 2-6 pm. A celebration of Josephine’s life will be held on Monday, July 23 at the funeral home at 11 am.
