Josephine Noonan

Josephine Noonan, age 93, of Lewes, Delaware passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024. Jo was the absolute embodiment of goodness.Truly loved and adored by all who knew her. Entirely devoted to her husband and family. An amazing cook who could make anything taste good. A gardener that made everything grow and flourish. She crocheted countless blankets, hats, scarves and sweaters for everyone in the family, friends and for charity. They were all woven with love. Jo and her husband retired early to enjoy all their time together and many fishing trips. Jo always caught the biggest fish. Jo was a huge Yankee fan to the very end. Jo was born on Easter Sunday in Emerson, NJ to the late Emil and Carmela (Bencivenga) Venere. On April 18, 1954, Easter Sunday, she married her loving husband of 70 years William Noonan. Beloved Mother of Stephen Noonan and his wife Jean, Joanne Rainforth and her husband Gary, Billy Noonan and his partner Denis Lloyd, and Andrea Noonan and her late husband Mark Wallenstein. Adored Grandmother of Sean, Bryan, Michael, Matthew, Daniel, Kate, Erinand the late Stephen and Great-Grandmother of Liam, Jameson, Josephine, Philomena and Ellis. Beloved Aunt of many many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Adeline and brothers Salvatore, Emil and Nicholas. A visitation for Josephine will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ 07675. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Saint Aedan's Roman Catholic Church, 23 Reld Dr, Pearl River, NY 10965. A committal will occur Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at Maryrest Cemetery & Mausoleum, 770 Darlington Ave, Mahwah, NJ 07430.
