Judith Judy Ann Scott

SCOTT, Judith Ann (nee Morris), 76, of Park Ridge, NJ, formerly of River Vale, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 30, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Eugene F. Scott. Devoted mother of Deborah Ann Schermerhorn (nee Scott); and Jennifer D. Scott. Dear sister of Kathleen Memoli, Robert Morris and Geraldine Morris. Judy was a long-time member of the River Vale Community Church where she was a Women's Bible Study Teacher, High School and Adult Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Chancel Choir.

As an avid crocheter, Judy created well over 500 afghans in her lifetime. Every one of her creations were given away to friends and family out of love. Even in her later years, she continued to crochet, making baby blankets, hats, kitty cozies, and of course, afghans to give to her beloved friends and family. Each creation was unique to each recipient.

Judy had a love and zeal for life. She could be found most Sundays, enjoying a NASCAR race, rooting for her favorite racers. She enjoyed vacationing in New England with her daughters and loved being by the ocean where she could take in God's awesome power. Judy had a wicked sense of humor and even knew how to laugh at herself.

Her final days were spent with her daughters where they sat and talked, prayed, laughed and cried together. Her life was a testament to her faithfulness to the Lord and is now evident in her daughter's lives as well. Between Judy and her late husband, Eugene, many came to know the Lord more personally and saw the love of Christ in their lives.

The family received their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ, on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 2-4PM. A beautiful Memorial Service was held in her honor at the River Vale Community Church, 600 Rivervale Road, River Vale, NJ Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 7PM.

Interment, Westwood Cemetery, Westwood, NJ was Friday, May 4, 2012 at 11AM.
