Julia Graham

Julia Christina Graham, formerly of Hackensack, NJ, beloved daughter of the late Moses Abe Graham & Bernice Rainey Graham, departed this earthly life on Sunday, August 25, 2024. She is predeceased by her brothers Pete Graham and Isaac Graham and her sister Edna Mae Waiters.

Born on June 16, 1943, Julia migrated to New Jersey from South Carolina in the early 60's. She began her life in New Jersey working as a live-in housekeeper. She then went on to be a window designer for one of the major clothing stores (Lerners) at the formerly known The Bergen Mall. She always loved a nice scarf or accessories, like a flower in her hair to jazz an outfit up.

Julia loved taking care of her grandchildren when they were small. Once they became school age, she cared for other children while their parents worked. She was also a Jehovah’s Witness and enjoyed sharing her faith with others.

Julia is survived by her daughter Deborah Graham; her grandchildren Jawan Graham Worrell (Sabrina) and Javin Graham Barber; her brother Lavern Graham; and a host of other loving relatives, dear friends and Kingdom Hall family.

The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, Friday, August 30th from 10-11AM. A Celebration of her life and faith will take place at 11AM with interment at Westwood Cemetery to follow.
