NICHOLS, June L., 92, of Township of Washington, NJ, passed away on Saturday, March 16th, 2024. June is survived by her dear children Douglas Nichols, Diane McClure and her husband David and her grandchild Jennifer McClure. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Frank Raymond “Ray”; her daughter Karen as well as sister Alice Solleder.
Her hobbies included playing bingo and the lottery, sewing and making lemon meringue pies. June was born in 1931 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Alice Drost and John Anderson. She lived most of her life in Jersey City, NJ, settling in Hackensack, NJ, and eventually the Township of Washington, NJ.
The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Rd., Westwood, NJ on Tuesday March 19, 2024, from 2-4 and 7-9PM. A Celebration of June's life and faith will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday March 20th at 10AM with interment at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ to follow. Memorial contributions can be made in June's name to the Alzheimer’s Association @ alz.org/donate.
