Justine Zaconie

ZACONIE, Justine, 92, of Twp. of Washington, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016. She was born in Garfield, NJ to her late parents, Salvatore and Anna La Rocca (LoBiondo). Beloved wife of the late Samuel Zaconie. Devoted mother of James Zaconie of Twp. of Washington, NJ and Thomas Zaconie of Montville, NJ. Dear sister of Ann DeLucia, of Wayne, NJ and Thomas LaRocca of Ocala, FL. Loving grandmother of Tracy Casson, of Midland Park, NJ and cherished great grandmother of Chase Casson. She is predeceased by her brothers Joseph and George. Justine began her teaching career with the Lodi Board of Education working as a Substitute Teacher while attending night school at Paterson State Teacher’s College graduating in 1966. Upon graduating, she began teaching at School # 9 in Garfield, retiring in 1985. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church, Twp. of Washington, NJ. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Sunday, January 10 from 4-8PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Justine’s life and faith will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church, Twp. of Washington, NJ on Monday, January 11 at 10AM. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Justine’s name to the Twp. of Washington Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 354 Hudson Avenue, Twp. of Washington, NJ 07676.
