Kathleen O’Connell

Kathleen O’Connell (nee Coleman) 79 of Emerson, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Colleen and her husband Victor, Siobhain and her husband Jon, her grandchildren Bryant and his wife Tori, Conor and his girlfriend Kaitlin, Aidan and Shaelyn. She is also survived by her sister Theresa and her brothers Lawrence and John and his wife Jan as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that were family.

She lived her life for her family and always put others needs before her own. Kathleen was the life of the party and the queen of the dance floor. Always requesting Mony Mony at any gathering. To know her was to know “The Nan”!

She was born in Queens, NY and moved to NJ in 1967. But once a New Yorker always a New Yorker.

Kathleen worked in Real Estate for the Northern Bergen County area until she retired in 2017.

Kathleen was a lover of all animals. For those who wish to honor her memory, please do so by donating to your local animal shelter or rescue organization.

Cremation will be private.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
