

Kenneth G. Suehnholz, 81, of Park Ridge, NJ died Tuesday February 19, 2008 peacefully at home after a long illness. He was born February 23, 1926 in Hackensack, NJ, and grew up in Wood-Ridge, NJ. Beloved husband of 57 years to Florence (nee Joralemon). Devoted father of Keith Suehnholz and his wife Catherine (McCormack) of Goshen, NY, Karen May of Suffern, NY and the late Kim Lizotte and her surviving husband Donald of Harrington Park, NJ. Cherished grandfather of Travis and his wife Liz, Tracy, and Ashley Lizotte, Patrick and Kevin Suehnholz, and Kyle and Greg May. Ken proudly served as a Radioman Third Class in the United States Navy in World War II aboard the USS Riverside. Following his service, he earned his degree in Industrial Engineering from Farleigh Dickinson University. He returned later to FDU and received his MBA. Early in his career while working at Autometric Corp, he was named on the patent related to producing registered color screen Cathode-Ray tubes (for color TV). Following several years at General Precision Aerospace, Ken worked at Perkin-Elmer Corp. for 20 years. During this time he had the great pleasure of working with many NASA projects and on the Hubble Space Telescope. Family and friends may visit Friday, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ. There will be a short service at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 AM, followed by interment at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in his name to Tri-Boro Ambulance Corp, Park Ridge Police Dept Charity Fund, or the Park Ridge Fire Dept Charity Fund.
