Kermit B. Hoffman, Jr., age 72, of Woodcliff Lake, NJ on Sunday, December 14, 2008. Beloved husband of Jeanette Hoffman (nee Sieveri) married for 51 years. Devoted father of Cheryl Thorwarth and her husband Charles of Montvale, NJ, Stacey Barone and her husband Ted of Medfield, MA, Kermit Hoffman and his wife Alyson of Basking Ridge, NJ, Carrie Purvin and her husband Kevin of Wyckoff, NJ. Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Robert, Brian and Steven Thorwarth, Brad, Jeanette and Troy Barone, Kermit and Jake Hoffman, Eva and Kyle Purvin. Also surrvived by his sister and brother-in-law Beverly and Walter Haass, his brother and sister-in-law Dennis and Andrea Hoffman and his sister Deanna Hess. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents, Kermit B. Hoffman, Sr. and Arlene (nee Bossons). Kermit graduated from Tenafly High School in 1954, a member of the reunion committee, a graduate from Bryant College in 1957. Worked for G.A.L. Manufacturing Corp, Bronx, NY for 45 years as Secretary - Treasurer and was an Executive with sister Company Hollister Whitney, Quincy, IL. A member of the Ridgewood Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf. Avid Giant fan for over 45 years. Coached Little League Football, Basketball, Baseball and Softball during children's elementary and middle school years in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. Service at the Presbyterian Church of Tenafly on Thursday (Time to be announced). Interment, Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly, NJ. The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Memorial gifts to Triboro Ambulance Corps, P.O.
