Kevin Lee Portuondo

PORTUONDO, Kevin L., 49, of Woodcliff Lake, NJ, formerly of Wallkill, NY, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. Kevin is survived by his beloved wife Kimberley; his children Avery and Brody; his parents Leonard and Kathleen; his brother Scott and wife Melissa Scott with their children Ryan and Jack; his nephews Cal and Ian; his cousin Greg Butryn; his mother in-law Kathleen Potoczniak; his sisters in-law Laura Weaver and her husband Douglas and Karen Potoczniak; his nephews in-law Michael D'Anton, Trevor D'Anton, Daniel Weaver as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends from college. He was predeceased by his father in-law Raymond Potoczniak.

Kevin had a passion for sports his entire life. He was a standout multi-sport athlete at Wallkill High School. He went on to play football at Cornell University, where he majored in Economics. He was a proud member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. After college, Kevin worked in Finance in NYC at Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers, RBC, and finally at JPMorgan Asset Management, where he was an Executive Director in Equity Trading.

Kevin and Kimberley met while working at Lehman Brothers and married in 2010. Kevin devoted many hours to his children and the sports they all loved. He coached Woodcliff Lake Indoor Soccer, St. John's Academy Basketball, Hillsdale Hawk Football, and Woodcliff Lake Baseball, where he also served as a board member. He loved coaching and helping young children in the community learn to love these sports. Kevin was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish in Hillsdale, NJ.

The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday, June 23 from 3-8 PM. A Mass celebrating Kevin's life and faith will be held at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church in Hillsdale, NJ on Wednesday, June 24 at 10 AM with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ to follow.
