Kimmie "Kim" Almonte

Kim Almonte of River Edge, NJ, passed away on Saturday, January 27th, 2024. Kim was 36 years young and born in Dublin, Ireland. She lived between New York and New Jersey most of her life. She was a proud alumni of Georgian Court University where she studied English and Special Education after deciding at a young age that she would be a teacher. She was a writer, runner, lover of food, and “proud mommy of a wonderful boy.” She found the most joy in spending time with her son and family going on adventures together (pool days, carnivals, sushi dates - anything that got everyone together and laughing). She held her family, passion for teaching, and strong religious faith dear.

Kimmie is survived by her husband Danny, son Hendrix, parents Michelle and Winston, as well as her siblings Melissa, Richie, Jason, and Jamie.

The family will receive guests at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Friday, February 2nd from 4-8pm. A Mass celebrating Kimmie’s life and faith will be held at R.C. Church Of The Assumption in Emerson, NJ on Saturday, February 3rd at 9:30am with interment following at Westwood Cemetery in Westwood, NJ.
