Louis Edward Monti

MONTI, Louis E., 99, of Park Ridge, NJ, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Fernando and Liduina Monti. Louis served his country proudly in the United States Army during WWII. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army, Louis worked for the United States Postal Service until his retirement. He loved to play golf, travel, read books, dine on good food, but most of all, he loved being around his family and friends. Louis was predeceased in death by his lovely wife Beatrice "Rita" Monti and his grandson Todd Mockler. Beloved father to Eloise Haase & her husband Udo, Bill Monti & his wife Kelly. Grandfather to Monica Maroyka & her husband Eric, Laura Loura & her husband Dan, Jeff Mockler & his wife Kathleen, Tara Snow & her husband Andrew, Stephanie Flannigan & her husband John. Great Grandfather to Juliann & Allyson Maroyka, Christian & Jackie Loura, Kyla, Christopher, Aimee, & Lauryn Mockler, Molly, Phoebe, & Henry Snow, Amelia & Andrew Flannigan. A memorial mass in Louis’ name will celebrated held at St. Elizabeth's R.C. Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave, Wyckoff, N.J. Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 12:30PM. Funeral services under the direction of Becker Funeral Home, Westwood, NJ.
