Lucy G. DeCarolis

She is survived by her loving and devoted son Scott and his partner Karen M. Stichauner as well as cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends.

Before her retirement in 2007, Lucy enjoyed working within Scott’s educational facilities. Subsequently, much of her time was applied devoting her time as the administrative assistant at the Church of The Assumption in Emerson, NJ. Lucy felt her most important work and devotion was being a wife, mother, and friend to everyone she encountered. She was empathetic to all and took their pain upon herself, she loved all God’s creatures and was especially devoted to animals and their protection. She was always present for anyone who was in need, whether the closest family member, or a newly met acquaintance. She put her whole heart into all that she did and brought much love and joy into everyone’s life whom she touched. We will miss our dear Lucy, but know she is now truly enjoying her well-earned rest and reward in her eternal home, with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Family and friends will be received at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Sunday April 23, 2023 from 2-6 PM. The Funeral Mass celebrating Lucy’s life and faith will be held at St. Catharine’s R.C. Church, 905 South Maple, Glen Rock, NJ on Monday April 24, 2023 at 10AM. Committal to follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ.
