Lynn C. Bagley

Born on February 16th to the departed Etta and Wilmer Carty of Columbus, NJ, Lynn grew up in a close-knit family rooted in love and strong family values. She was also predeceased by her sister Loretta Bukosky.

Lynn leaves behind her loving husband, Robert; her children, Kelly (Jeff) Wihbey of Glastonbury, CT and Kevin (Danielle) Bagley of New Fairfield, CT; her cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jonathan, Cecilia, Declan and Delilah; sister Jean Myers; and many other dear family and friends whose lives were enriched by her presence.

Lynn was a proud alum of Fairleigh Dickinson University where she made life-long friends and after a professional career as a dental hygienist, Lynn found joy and purpose in creative pursuits. She was an avid quilter whose beautiful handmade creations became cherished gifts and adorned most of the walls in her house. Through every stitch, Lynn expressed the love, patience, and artistry that defined her passions and life. She also discovered a love for writing poetry later in life.

Those who knew Lynn will remember her extraordinary kindness and generosity. She gave freely of her time, talents, and heart, always placing the needs of others before her own. Whether sharing a handmade quilt, donating children’s books, or lending a listening ear, Lynn touched countless lives with her warmth and compassion.

Lynn's favorite poet, Maya Angelou, once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Lynn embodied those words and had a remarkable gift for making everyone around her feel cared for and loved. Her legacy of compassion and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Calling hours will be held on Friday July 31st, from 9-11a.m. at Becker funeral home 219 Kinderkamack Rd, Westwood, NJ with burial to follow at Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, reflecting Lynn's spirit of giving.
