Margaret "Peggy" Blessing

Peggy was a resident of The Allendale Community for Senior Living. Formerly of Westwood and Palisades Park. Born in Englewood NJ to the late Gerald and Margaret Blessing. Peggy is survived by her sister Helene Cowling and predeceased by her brother, Gerald Blessing. Adored Aunt of Gineen (Donald) Weiss, Denise (Gary) Conkling, Richard (Lisa) Cowling and Thomas (JoAnn) Cowling. Great Aunt of Eric (Janice), Anders and Lauren Weiss, Margot (Thomas) March, Chelsea and Brett Conkling, Richard, Nicholas, Michael and Kathryn Cowling. Great Great Aunt of Tessa and Veronica D’Arcy and Jolie March. Survived by cousins and friends. Peggy was a beloved member of her extended family. Her kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit will be sorely missed.

Peggy attended grammar to Jr. High in schools in Palisades Park and graduated from Leonia High School. She worked for Equitable Life Insurance in NYC for 40 years before retiring.

Peggy was a member of Saint Michael’s Church of Palisades Park for 74 years and served as CCD teacher, CYO advisor, president of parish council, Eucharist minister, member of Alter society and Rosary Society. Peggy is now a member of Saint Andrew’s Church in Westwood and a member of the 50/50 Plus club. Member of Senior Fellowship of Westwood.

Our dearest Peggy will be laid to rest at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, St. Joseph Chapel Mausoleum, Hackensack, NJ.
