Margaret Y. Wagner (nee Amato) of Westwood, NJ died peacefully on Sunday, November 24, 2019 with her family at her side. Born March 29, 1920, Margaret grew up in Palisades Park, NJ. As a young woman she met and married her husband of 53 years, Leon N. Wagner (deceased). Margaret was a beloved wife and the devoted mother of five children: her two daughters, Claudia Young and Marguerite Wagner Kret, and her three sons, Clifford, Robert, and David Wagner. She was predeceased by her brother Pino C. Amato. Margaret was also the loving grandmother of Kacey Young Lowman and Keri-Ann Warner; Jason, Derek, Brett, Brian, and Trevor Wagner; Jennifer and Lauren Kret; she had 6 great- grandchildren. During her 63 years in Westwood, while raising her family and after, Margaret worked at several occupations. This included many years at the First National Bank of Westwood, at both the Westwood and Washington Twp. offices. She was a volunteer for the Bergen County Blood Bank and Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ and a longtime member of St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, the Mother’s Guild, Rosary Society, and Westwood Columbiettes. She was also a prolific reader; she enjoyed and supported the Westwood Public Library. In recent years Margaret resided at The Madison apartments; she had many friends there with whom she went to church and enjoyed social activities. Her family and friends will miss her very much. Family will receive their friends on Wednesday December 4 at 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood NJ. Funeral liturgy will be held on December 5 at St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church, Westwood, NJ at 10:30AM. Interment will be at the Cemetery of the Ascension, Monsey, NY. Memorial gifts to Valley Hospice, 15 Essex Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652 would be appreciated.

We will all miss "Mrs. Wagner" Margaret. Always loved to visit and catch up on movies, books and updates on all of her family members. What a wonderful, polite and interesting person whom always had time and interest in what people were doing. Our condolences to all family members.
