PIAZZA, Marie T., 96, of New Milford, NJ, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on Wednesday, July 24th, 2024. Marie is survived by her nieces Joan Benassi and Carol Caloras and her husband Jack, Anne Caputo and her husband Ralph; her nephews Anthony III and his wife Angela and Michael and his partner Ingrid Nunez as well as multiple grandnieces and grandnephews. She is predeceased by her brothers Michael and his wife Anne and Anthony Jr. and his wife Lucille as well as her nephew in-law Steven Benassi.
After a successful career in business, Marie pursued a college degree in education and had a fulfilling subsequent career as a high school business teacher. During her life she enjoyed golfing, traveling and had a great affinity and talent for baking, much to the delight of her family. Most notably, Marie was a woman known for her warmth, support and devotion to her family and friends.
A Mass celebrating Marie's life and faith will be held at St. Joseph R.C. Church, 300 Elm St., Oradell, NJ on Monday, July 29th at 10AM with entombment at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ to follow.
