So many huge memories but this small one... I remember going down the shore and was sitting at the table with Scott, and Aunt Marilyn put a plate a sliced tomatoes in front of us. She showed us how to salt one and eat it, then went back to fixing the rest of the meal. Well Scott and I kept salting and gobbling down the sliced tomatoes until they were almost gone and she came back and stopped us. Only then did we realize that wasn't supposed to be a snack for us... but part the meal for everyone! She was so flustered I thought we were gonna be blasted for sure! I don't think she knew whether to be furious or happy that that her son was eating something healthy like tomatoes! We got out of that kitchen and didn't come back until it was too full and busy to get any attention drawn. I still love tomatoes because that plateful until today! I think I reminded her of this story once before. I hope she and her family knows how much loved her.
