Muska, Mark Andrew, 24, of River Vale, NJ, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017. Mark is survived by his beloved parents Mark and Stephanie (nee Vedral); his siblings Bethanie, Krista, Addison, Ryan, Callie and Wendy; his grandparents John and Kathleen Vedral and Raymond Muska as well many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his grandmother Dolores Muska. Mark was a guy that tried to excel. Whether it was a sport or at work, he always did his best. He wrestled in the PV Junior wrestling club, at Holdrum Middle School, at PV High School, and then at Landmark High School. His hard work got him a spot at the National Prep Tournament his senior year. His love for fitness brought him to weight training. He was close to achieving his goal of participating in the Strong Man tournament and was able to dead lift 440lbs with a goal of 500. Most recently he entered a NAGA tournament on a whim, having never trained, and won the Gold Medal in the Novice Grappling Championship. Mark attended both Pascack Valley High School and Landmark High School in Beverly Massachusetts. His time at Landmark was filled with great experiences, love, and friendship. It was there that he made friendships he held close to his heart. He continued onto Bergen Community College and was working towards his Associates degree. Mark worked for a number of years in Park Ridge at Park Pizza and was mentored by his boss, Chuck, who fed into his life greatly. For the past year he was an employee of PSEG as a meter reader. Most important to Mark were his friends and family. Mark loved hard and his siblings and parents could feel it. Be it picking his sisters up from school, going out, or giving brotherly advice, Mark was wholly in it. He was the big brother, the little brother, the son that made you happy he was yours. He was fiercely loyal to all he loved. Mark's friends all meant the world to him. From his childhood BFF Glenn to his high school BFF Rachel and extending to all of his friends from every phase of his life, he was so happy to have these people in his life. His days were brighter and richer because of those he called friend. The family will receive guests at The River of the C & MA Church, 253 Ehrhardt Rd, Pearl River, NY on Friday, July 7th from 4-8PM. A Celebration of Mark's life and faith will be held at the church on Saturday, July 8th at 10AM with interment at Westwood Cemetery to follow.
