Mary Ann Schmitt (nee Zallwice), of Old Tappan, NJ, on Sunday, September 7, 2008. Born in New York City to her late parents, Henry and Mary Zallwice. Mary Ann was employed as a Social Worker for the New York City Department of Social Services and then for the Bergen County Department of Social Services. Mary Ann is survived by her beloved husband Ralph, her two sons, Robert and Ronald and her sister Carmella Kraser. Funeral Liturgy at Church of St. Pius X, Old Tappan, NJ on Wednesday at 10:30 AM. Interment, Old Tappan Cemetery, Old Tappan, NJ. The family will recieve their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
