HEATON, Mary-Ellen, 87, of Harrington Park, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. She was born in New York City to Herman and Deborah Partridge. Beloved wife of the late Jack L. Heaton. Devoted mother of Judith Smith and her husband, Howard, and Jane Heaton( Walter Lukaszewski). Loving grandmother of Elizabeth Dietz and her husband Mark, and Howard L. Smith, III and his fiancee’, Renata Bittencourt. Dear sister of Deborah Henderson. Mary-Ellen was a graduate of Westwood High School, Class of 1947 and Bucknell University, Class of 1951. Before retiring, Mary-Ellen was an elementary school teacher for 35 years with the Harrington Park School System. She was a member of the NEA and the NJEA. The family will receive their relatives and friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Friday, December 1 from 4-8PM. Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday, December 2 at 10AM, followed by a graveside service at Westwood Cemetery at 11AM.
