Mary F. Keane

Mary Frances Keane (nee Gaffney) passed away peacefully on March 2nd. Mary was born on April 6, 1931 in Bronx, N.Y. She grew up in the Bronx where she met her husband John Patrick Keane, “Bob.” They were married for over 60 years and raised their four sons in Washington Township. Mary is predeceased by her husband, Bob and her son John Robert, “Bobby” Keane. She was also predeceased by her loving sisters, Sheila and Bea with whom she was very close.

Mary was an active member of the community and a lifelong member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church. Mary sang in the choir for may years, loved to play Rummikub and played tennis in Florida well into her 80’s. Mary was a devoted mother who was fiercely loyal to her family and friends.

She is survived by her three sons, Kevin, Brian and Christopher, a daughter-in-law, Susanne, a granddaughter Kerry and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass will be held on March 11th at Our Lady of Good Counsel at 10:00 am. Burial at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, N.Y. to follow.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted into the care of Becker Funeral Home, Westwood, NJ.
