

On Saturday, April 26, 2025 Mary Braun Moshier passed away peacefully with family by her side in Wilmington, NC. Mary was born on August 11, 1934 to Evelyn and Anthony Braun and was one of 8 beloved sisters. Mary was raised in Scarsdale NY, spending most of her summers in Manasquan, NJ where she met her future husband, Wayne.
Mary married Wayne Moshier on September 25, 1954. Together, they lived in Hawthorne, NJ, Pearl River/Nanuet, NY and later Old Tappan, NJ, where they raised five children: Donna Coffey (Richard), Stephen Moshier (deceased)(Robin), Barbara Harrington (Kelly), Mark Moshier (Krista) and Carolyn Moshier. She was the proud Grandmother of 12 Grandchildren and 10 beautiful Great-Grandchildren.
Mary felt so blessed and was passionate about giving back to her community, family and friends. She was an avid volunteer for numerous organizations, from the Old Tappan Women’s Club, Ingleside Nursing Home, Nanuet Board of Education President, St. Agatha Home for Children, Meals on Wheels, to her involvement in various Catholic Churches in Rockland, Ocean and Bergen Counties.
Mary could often be seen reading, listening and grooving to music on the beach. She and Wayne enjoyed their winters in Florida and summers on Long Beach Island with family and friends; Other hobbies and interests include travelling, love for geography, history and study of foreign languages.
Most important to Mary was her relationship with God. Her spirituality influenced every facet of her life and she loved spreading His word. Mary was known for her generosity, outgoing and friendly nature, constant care and concern for others. We will always cherish the memories of her hysterical laugh, bright smile and friendly blue eyes.
Visitation hours will be Monday, May 5th from 4-8 pm at Becker Funeral Home in Westwood NJ. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Tuesday, May 6th at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church in Old Tappan, NJ followed by a private graveside memorial for the family.
